1/2 cup nuts ( optional )
1/2 cup shortening
1 cup brown sugar
1 cup white sugar
1 egg
1/4 lb .chocolate chips
1 1/4 cups flour
1/2 tsp. soda
1/4 tsp. salt
1 tsp. water
1/2 tsp. vanilla
Cream shortening; brown and white sugar. Add well beaten egg, hot water and vanilla and mix well. Sift flour once and combine, sift/again with mixture add chips and nuts. Preheat over to 350. Bake at 350 for 10 mins.
